Speech-language Pathologist And Audiologist Advisory Council
Section Sec. 148.5196 MN Statutes, subd. 1(1) states the commissioner of health shall appoint three public members, as defined in section 214.02. Two of the public members shall be either persons receiving services of a speech-language pathologist or audiologist, or family members of or caregivers to such persons, and at least one of the public members shall be either a hearing instrument user or an advocate of one.
Section Sec. 214.02 MN Statutes states "Public member" means a person who is not, or never was, a member of the profession or occupation being licensed or regulated or the spouse of any such person, or a person who does not have or has never had, a material financial interest in either the providing of the professional service being licensed or regulated or an activity directly related to the profession or occupation being licensed or regulated.
