POSITION: Minnesota Building And Construction Trades Council

Position Description

• Must be a current member of the Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council to apply for this seat. This council is the the advocate voice for unionized construction workers in Minnesota. Seventy thousand members strong, the Minnesota Building Trades has provided leadership and advocacy for construction workers in Minnesota for 70 years. The Construction Codes Advisory Council (CCAC) reviews laws, codes, rules, standards and licensing requirements relating to building construction, and may: 1) recommend ways to eliminate inconsistencies; 2) review and comment on current and proposed laws and rules; 3) advise agencies on possible changes in rules and 4) promote the coordination, within each jurisdiction, of the administration and enforcement of construction codes.
