Other members include the commissioners of Administration, Agriculture, Commerce, Employment and Economic Development, Health, Natural Resources, Pollution Control and Transportation; and the chair of the Board of Water and Soil Resources. Entity Powers and Duties, Activity Summary
The EQB coordinates collaboration among individual Minnesotans, communities, and public and private organizations on environmental issues and advises the Governor and Legislature on environmental legislation and policy.

ACTIVITY SUMMARY

Minnesota Statutes, Chapters 103A, 103B, 116C, and 116D provide for the Environmental Quality Board to: ensure compliance with state environmental policy; oversee the environmental review process; coordinate environmental agencies and programs; develop the state water plan and water policy reports; study environmental issues; convene environmental congresses; and advise the governor and the Legislature.
