Membership

A majority of members are participants with disabilities, elderly participants, and their representatives.

The Community First Services and Supports Implementation Council exists to consult and collaborate with the Department of Human Services on the development and implementation of Community First Services and Supports (CFSS), a program that will replace Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG). Members collaborate with various stakeholders on the development and implementation of the new program. Members have a passion for promoting self-direction and working to enhance and improve the quality of services as the program is developed and implemented. The council collaborates with various stakeholders to advance ideas and bring forth concerns that impact successful program development. Since the program has not yet launched much of the council’s work has focused on program development and design. Once the program has launched council members focus will be directed on successful program implementation.

Meetings were held 3 times during last fiscal year to discuss the implementation of CFSS and launch of the CFSS program starting 10/1/24.
